Vintage 1952 Omega Seamaster "Explorer Dial" Bumper Automatic (Ref. 2635 / Cal. 354) — Fully Serviced
A masterclass in mid-century design. This 1952, Ref. 2635-8C Omega Seamaster features a striking applied Arabic/dagger "Explorer-style" dial and houses the iconic Calibre 354 bumper automatic movement. Complete with a fresh March 2025 professional service, this piece is fully ready for the modern wrist.
We are proud to offer this exceptional, completely authentic 1952 Omega Seamaster. Featuring a crisp stainless steel screw-back case, this watch balances historic dress watch elegance with robust engineering.
The Dial:
A gorgeous silver-cream canvas hosting a rare configuration: applied Arabic numerals at the quarters (12, 3, 6, 9) paired with faceted, arrow-head dagger indices that beautifully catch the light. A central sweeping seconds hand rounds out the layout.
The Movement:
Under the hood is Omega's famous 17-jewel Calibre 354 Bumper automatic movement. Unlike modern full-rotation rotors, a bumper movement travels back and forth in an arc, gently banking off internal springs to wind the watch—giving the wearer a tactile connection to the mechanical heart on their wrist.
Condition & Turning Key Readiness:
Collectors know that buying vintage often means factoring in immediate watchmaker costs. This piece removes the guesswork: it was fully overhauled and serviced in March 2025. Opening the case back reveals an immaculately preserved, bright copper-plated movement finish free of oxidation or tool damage. It runs beautifully, winds smoothly, and keeps excellent time.
Curated Fitting:
We have paired this Seamaster with a premium, supple 18mm tan pebble-grain leather strap equipped with quick-release spring bars for effortless strap changes.
Vintage watches should be kept away from direct water contact, high humidity, and strong magnetic fields (laptops/smartphones) to safeguard their historic mechanisms.
